A succulent side dish beside some vegetables, smother it with gouda cheese to compliment your dinner cooking task. Shrimp cheese ball is easy to prepare and perfect for every meal even for a party or gathering.
To make it, just roughly chop fresh peeled shrimps, mix in chopped fresh oregano, fresh or pickled capers, salt, pepper and some olive oil.
Make it round with your hand, stuff with some grated gouda cheese and grated parmesan cheese. First roll it in flour, then in beaten egg and last in panko bread crumbs (mine usu Italian bread crumbs)
Last one is your choice, if you're uncomfortable with oil then go ahead and bake it. But if you want to create a beautiful golden shrimp ball then go ahead deep fry it.
And finally serve with your favorite dipping sauce, I served with spicy thousand island.

I never made shrimp balls in the past, we just usually make pork meatballs here in the house with the basic garlic, onions, etc and then eaten with rice :D
