The maritozzo is one of my favorite sweet, maybe my absolute favorite, this sweet is typical of Lazio, it's called maritozzo transled it could mean little husband.
It's made with various ingrenduends, bread, sliced in two pieces, honey, butter, salt, sugar and egged inside of it usually thee is a cream and it's really really super tasty.
Those look super yummy hmmm would love to try one, the Italians really know how to eat well don't they :P
