I've been craving for spicy foods these past few weeks and wandering if I can make my own chili garlic oil but instead I'm gonna replace the oil with Olive oil. I guess it a good option to replace regular cooking oil of an olive oil for me not to think that it will have a better benefits of consuming a healthy oil.

These kind of dippings for siomai are now being popularized by some local businesses and put it in a jar. In that way any costumer can have a chili garlic oil instantly. It's quite pricey as I checked the price online around 250 pesos. I could say that my recipe for today will cost pretty cheaper than it is and I produce more than I expected. I am gonna put my costing and ingredients below.

Ingredients/Costing

1/4 kilo of red chili (20 pesos)
1 whole garlic (7 pesos)
1 cup Olive oil (I bought 500ml bottle around 180 pesos)

Procedure:

1.Wash the chilis and chop it thinly. You can use knife but for me it is better to use a scissor so I can avoid touching the chili.

2.Crush and chop the garlic making sure it will look small enough. If you wished to add more garlic it okay though.

3.On a frying pan put atleast 1 cup of olive oil. You can use palm, vegetable, canola, and coconut oil. It's just my choice to use olive oil.

4.On a medium heat, fry first garlic and continue stirring. If you will use olive oil, you may notice that it won't easily turn brown or should I say it won't be easily to burnt unlike regular cooking oil does.

5.Once you've seen the garlic turns to slight brown put the chili and stir it. I put dash of salt while frying it.

6.At this point I wanted to have a crunchy garlic so I tried to fry it a bit longer than usual. Aside from that I wanted the chili to be well cooked so that it can be consumed in a longer period of time.

7.Turn of the heat and transfer it on a thick glass jar with lid. Make sure that it's quite thicker cause it might break the glass for it's very hot.

8.Do not cover it while it still hot. The steam may cause to spoil and will not preserve longer.

After awhile, I chose to add soysauce and calamansi into it. I love chili garlic oil adding these two. It is best dippings for fried foods like fried siomai, fried chicken and fried fish.

In conclusion of my first try, I think I made a successful chili garlic oil without worrying unhealthy oil. I wanted to share also after eating with chili garlic oil helps me to have a bowel movement in the morning. Maybe because of olive oil. I can rate the spicy level around 8/10. If you love spicy food this one will be the best!

Anyways thanks for reading my good blog today. Keep safe everyone, gracias
