In addition to helping out with the Shoe Drive, I also work the Food Pantry at the Lacey United Methodist Church in Forked River, New Jersey on Thursdays. We offer different meats, eggs, butter and numerous canned goods to people in need. Since Covid hit, there are plenty more people finding it hard to put food on the table. We don't ask any questions! All you have to do is drive up to the garage directly behind the Joy Of Angels Thrift Shoppe, tell us how many kids and adults are in your household and we will send bags out to your car.

We also have plenty of rice, tuna, pasta and peanut butter in stock. Of course, we can't promise from week to week what is available. There are times when we have baked goods, bread and a fresh vegetable. Some days we are busy, but for the most part, I feel we should be busier. I hate to throw away the bread, when we become overstocked with bread. In today's times and economy, there is no shame in needing help with feeding your family. I don't know about other countries, but I do know that there are panties set up in other states within the US.

All of the information that one needs to find us is listed in the pictured flier. If you know someone in the Lacey area of New Jersey, let them know about this. Everyone has a different story. We are not on this planet to judge, but to help one another.
