Lukaku equals 71-year-old record as Inter beat rivals Milan

inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku wrote his name into the history books in the game against AC Milan yesterday has became the first Inter player in 71 years to score a goal in four consecutive Milan Derbies.

Martinez brace and Lukaku only goal helped Inter to overcome their fierce rivals 0-3 at the San siro thus pushing them four points clear of Milan in the top of the Serie A table.

Lukaku who netted the third goal now see him hold the record for successive derby goals alongside with Benito Lorenzi who set the record in the1950 season.

Since Lukaku switch from Manchester United, the Belgium International forward has been stellar in the Inter jersey, knocking in goals weekly and showing no signs of slowing down.

The 27 year old striker now has 57 goals in 81 appearances for Inter and sit top of the goal scorer chart in the Italian top flight with 17 goals in 22 fixtures.

Inter will now be looking at breaking Juventus stranglehold in the league has they pursue for their first Serie A title after 11 years.
