Banning the ‘conspiracist’ David Icke is wrong & actually strengthens his case that we’re sleepwalking towards dictatorship (Op-Ed)

in #freespeech4 years ago

The banning of the former TV presenter from Facebook and YouTube is an assault on free speech and free expression which needs to be forcefully resisted, whatever your views are on Icke’s theories on world governance.

I’m old enough to remember when David Icke was a television sports presenter. For the past thirty-five years or so he’s been putting his ideas out on how he thinks the world operates – and it’s fair to say he has caused plenty of controversy. Some people laughed at him, some agreed with him, some were indifferent. No one campaigned for him to be banned.

Recently though, that’s changed. Icke has been accused of “preaching hate” and of peddling “unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.” And now he's charged with promoting “toxic” and “dangerous misinformation” about Covid-19.

Facebook and YouTube are both thieves of everything that shall be banned however, most people are so dumb and keep using those platform even they know it steal them information and use them to generate money.

David is clearly on to something, which he gets right I guess only time will tell, I don't see how a 64 year old man can be such a danger that he needs to be banned

YouTube and Facebook are gradually spoiling their reputation by banning free speech

David Icke is a disinformation specialist. He was banned not because he revealed some big truth, but because his influence on the centralized platforms started to endanger globalist narrative.

It may be David Icke today, but which dissenting voice will it be tomorrow?

Neil Clark is here absolutely right. Like it or not, we are now going to have a division between “official” narrative, only allowed at the current centralized media (complete MSM + Facebook and it derivatives, Google&YouTube, Twitter, Wikipedia…) , and the true world which will have to move to decentralized platforms. The quicker the better.
