Como aquel payaso/ Just that clown

Como aquel triste payaso
con su falsa nariz rota
y el maquillaje chorreado,
muestra aún una sonrisa
y continua su función…

Así enfrentamos la vida
desafiando a la tristeza;
a la alegría obligando
a salir de su escondite,
y seguimos transitando.

Aunque el dolor nos embargue
ni nosotros, ni el payaso
nos daremos por vencidos,
y seguimos adelante
hasta alcanzar un mejor destino…

Like that sad clown
with his fake broken nose
and the make-up dripping,
still shows a smile
and continues its function...

This is how we face life
defying sadness;
to joy by forcing
to come out of hiding,
and we're still in transit.

Though the pain seizes us
neither we nor the clown
we give up,
and we move on
until we reach a better destination...
