I was blessed to taste a dish prepared with fiddleheads in it. The chef that created the dish totally knew what they were doing and it was out of this world delicious. It inspired me to want to learn about them and in my research, I learned there are some 'look-alikes' or varieties that are toxic. Since I don't feel comfortable enough knowing the difference, I am better off growing cultivated varieties so I know what I am ingesting. It's on my 'to do' list to look at the growing conditions/needs because I would love to taste that delicious meal once again.
