Cats think they're the boss. They will eat and hunt anything they can over power including humans. Thank god they arn't strong enough. Domestic cats that is.

They are strong for their size though. If we had the same kind of strength for our size we would be like Spider Man. The "boss" attitude is why many of us like them but just like people it does vary a lot and some cats are a lot more docile and obedient (like dogs).

I have had cats that walked on leashes... and cats that would simply flop on the ground, as soon as the leash was attached.
