After going through the Hive-Roller.com source code and correcting a withdraw bug that forced a shutdown earlier as well as a few other critical bugs on the site it's once again online. I appologize for the down time but it was necessary in order to ensure that malicious individuals couldn't make off with the bankroll. The code has been patched in a few spots in order to prevent users from exploiting previously unknown bugs within the code that operated some of the withdrawal, investing and betting functions. A misconfiguration of how the server was checking to see if users were allowed to perform certain actions made it's way into the code a number of updates ago but has now been corrected.
The 27.985 HIVE that was stolen in the discovery of the bug has been replaced out of my own pocket and the site was audited to ensure no further damage or bug fuckery had taken place.
Everything seems to be pointing towards the issue discovered earlier tonight has been rectified along with some additional bugs that could have potentially caused havoc. The site is still very much under development and even though I'm a bit taken back by tonight's events still quite happy that it happened with minimal damage and that even though a vulnerability was found over all it has done nothing but strengthen the code base of the Hive-Roller.com site.
As with all experimental software being actively developed bugs can and will happen, but with each bug found and patched the overall functionality and security of the site increase which in turn propels the project along its trajectory of having a full version release.
In addition to patching a number of bugs more sanity checks and site monitoring ability serverside was also implemented. Very little of the code written tonight is anything the user will ever see (unless they are fucking around trying to do shady shit) but hopefully this takes the site one step closer to completion and saves future headaches caused by people trying to expliot things.
