what the fuck

Those are official product news and standard manufacturer's descriptions, widely used throughout many retailers. That's just the industry standard. This guy owns a card store. He literally has a license to do this.

Although if I did the same while promoting some product, it would still not be plagiarism, since I wouldn't be claiming to own the text and I would have the right to share promotional articles.

One thing is downvoting him because you don't want him to get paid for posting generic descriptions. I would be 100% ok with that. A whole different matter is randomly accusing people of plagiarism. This thing you guys do has triggered many people over the years.

Hi.

"Those are official product news and standard manufacturer's descriptions, widely used throughout many retailers".

Are those retailers getting paid for publishing random product news and descriptions?
Obviously not.
I don't see payout being declined in these posts.
An evident attempt to farm with plagiarism because no sources were given. So these are the cases of pretending the be the author of the content that was not written by the user.
Please read up what content was supposed to be rewarded in the Hive ecosystem and what Proof of Brain means.

Also, even if the sources were given, it would still be plain copy & paste spam with no or little original content added. Another form of exploitation.

The user was asked to stop many times as you can see in the links but refused to stop.

Like I had just said, I'm 100% okay with downvoting those cases, but calling it plagiarism is too much of a stretch...

If you wrote an essay or dissertation for your school/university and included these "product news and standard manufacturer's descriptions" in it without providing sources and proper quoting, this would be considered plagiarism (and you would likely face disciplinary or possible legal consequences).

The same case applies here.

Now I understand and I 100% agree. Thank you for explaining.
