Weather Week Recap - Shiny Rainy Castform & Some 100%

The Weather Week event has now ended, this event released the Shiny Rainy Castform as the first game ever to have this form available as Shiny. This Form of Castform only spawns during Rainy weather, and remains in this form if it's already spawned even if the weather changes, it will just no longer be weather boosted. Two of the event Field Research Tasks had Rainy Castform encounter rewards.

With the good weather I was only able to encounter a few Rainy Castform, as there were like two different times when I played that there was rainy weather in game. Which was a bit weird as it wasn't raining, but the weather isn't always completely accurate. There was just a high chance of rain I guess, causing the weather to be rainy for an hour, but then didn't actually happen in reality. The majority of my Rainy Castform encounters came from completing the Field Research Tasks to catch 7 Pokémon of the types that prefer either Rainy or Windy weather.
I was able to encounter a Shiny on the first day of the event already through one of my Field Research Task encounters!

During the event the 5 km Eggs had a high chance to feature Pokémon who prefer Rainy or Windy weather, so Pokémon like Ducklett, Wingull, Drifloon and many others had a higher chance to hatch from them. I got a surprising 100% Drifloon hatch while walking around during the 2nd day of the event.

By trading some Pokémon with a friend during the event I got a 100% Lucky Ducklett from one of the trades. Later during the event I got another 100% Ducklett, this time as a Field Research encounter! That makes this family complete and when I evolve one to Swanna it'll be the Lucky one. Of course I would prefer to find a Swanna in the wild for Pokédex registry, but now that the event is over the chances will be slim.

These have been some good new 100% IV additions to my collection. However there is one more that tops the crown, and that is a 100% Therian Forme Thundurus that I encountered during a Raid while it was Raids. That was really exciting to see, as it's an amazing Electric-type attacker and I'm still lacking a 100% Zekrom.

I've already powered up this Thundurus to level 40 as well. You can see the encounter, its stats and the power up in this next photo.

That's made the Weather Event really great! As I haven't been able to play that much this week that made it even better.

How did the event go for you?

This April 1st, we are having a Tricky Pokémon event with mischievous Pokémon and Team GO Rocket causing trouble. From 12 am through 11:59 pm local time this event will be active. All Team GO Rocket grunts will have the newly added Shadow Aipom with them for the whole day.

Edit: updated thumbnail as Castform was barely visible in it
