Chicks Gig Me, Because I Rarely Hype Projects But When I Do It's Usually Something Unusual.

in #gaming4 days ago

Ok I have never hyped anything on here except for things like Splinterlands so I have no idea what the proper etiquette is. I usually avoid hyping anything up because I have absolutely zero faith in my ability to judge a good or bad project. I stumbled upon Hive's predecessor by dumb luck while I was waiting for my kid at his music lesson. To say I am not a financial expert is the understatement of the year. So no one, ever, in the history of time should ever take anything I say as financial advice. I have so little faith in myself that I usually say nothing. I really don't want to set anyone up for failure. But I think I may have stumble upon a project that I think will be fun. (Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and again. I figure once every 10 years is about right for me).

The main reason I'm feeling brave enough to post this here is that there is a way to enter the project 100% for free. I specifically asked that question when I was on a Discord call with the team and they were very cool and walked me through exactly how that is possible. In fact, I'd recommend checking it out for free. If you think it will be good, great. But check it out first.

The project is called Omenx. The reason I like it so much is that I have been dying for a blockchain game that stressed the gaming aspect first and the investing aspect a very distant second. No offense to the awesome game designers on here but either on purpose or by accident, the money side has been the main motivation for many to play the games. I have always thought that if you built a fun game, the money will come later. But if you stress the money side first, then people only expect that. The game play should be the main reward not the money. Omenx is definitely trying that. In fact the founder had already made most of the three flagship games well before starting the project. So this isn't one of those things where you get in a presale and then three years later you're like "Where's the game?" You can actually play one of the games right now... but this one is more of a money game so it will cost you some of the Omenx tokens if you want to actively play. But you can join a clan and just play passively and hope to get lucky while you are earning tokens in other ways. I'm more excited for the second and third games. One is like Fortnite and the other is a collectable card game.

Since the games are the main draw for me, here are brief descriptions of the games.

OmenX Wars (playable beta)
This one is already live. It’s a real-time clan boss battle where the round doesn’t end on a timer it ends when the next Bitcoin block is found. Everyone attacks the same boss. When the block hits, the boss dies instantly and the results lock in.

Clans compete to deal the most damage before that happens. Damage determines reward multipliers. Players use token-backed NFTs to generate base power and activate boosts that cost OMENX but most of that OMENX flows back into the reward pool.

So it’s strategic, competitive, and coordinated. The blockchain acts as the referee. No hidden timers. Outcomes are verifiable.

This game is basically Gomining but the founder (who played Gomining for years) took all of the super annoying things about the game and changed it. He made it more fair and fun. He even added passive ways to play. But this one is definitely more money driven the the future games.

Atomic Titans (coming soon)
This is a fast-paced arena action game. Players enter competitive matches using OMENX. Those tokens represent your “lives.” If you get eliminated, tokens drop and other players can grab them but they only keep what they successfully secure.

So it’s skill-based risk and reward, not passive earning. This is the one that seems a lot like Fortnite.

Hatched.ai (coming soon)
This is a real-time action trading card RPG where AI generates unique cards art, stats, abilities, even names. Cards spawn as animated units in live 3D combat. Deckbuilding and strategy matters. This sounds like a lot of the deckbuilding games I like. The fact that the cards are AI generated makes me think it might be like Keyforge.

Here's my second favorite part... the founder. He is a game designer first and a gamer himself. He was involved in GoMining and Mining Wars. He understands that gamers are motivated by emotion, fairness, competition, progression not just token rewards. He’s active in Discord constantly. He answers questions directly. He doesn’t talk like a robot. He actually understands how regular players think and communicates extremely well. He's also pretty funny.

It feels like he’s trying to build a bridge between:

  • Game Developers who don’t want to build token systems from scratch
  • Players who want competitive games with real ownership

There are multiple games on the way, a developer portal, a marketplace, burn mechanics, upgrade sinks, and epoch allocations. And these things all exist right now (although two of the games are still being finished). This isn't vaporware.

But this is Crypto so of course there is an investment angle (but again, please don't make this your main goal base don my opinion. I'm more into the games than the investing side).

This too seems unique. Although it is early beta and anything can change, it seems like Omenx is trying to create a shared gaming ecosystem. There is a main token called Omenx and two types of NFTs that actually do things besides just look pretty.

The Faucet NFTs are straightforward. You buy them with Omenx and they generate Omenx daily. Higher rarity means higher output. If you don’t want to hold one anymore, you can “recycle” it and get back the Omenx backing. These are very rare and will be the main way Omenx makes its way out into the wild.

The Manager NFTs are pretty unique. You buy these with Omenx and then back them with otehr tokens. At first GMT (the gomining token) is the only one you can back with. The NFT represents staked GMT (I think) so you get yield from that. They also do automatic arbitrage trading of GMT (or whatever token) when an opportunity presents itself. that is another way you can get yield from the manager NFT. I believe that if the GMT isn't profitable, they can offset any loss with Omenx (I think).

They literally just rolled out a VIP program today. They are trying to give Omenx to people who will be active on the platform. They WANT PLAYERS. They know that they need to create a player base if they are going to attract game developers. They also wanted to make sure this project could be enjoyed by regular people. this is not a whale only project.

You can get into the VIP program for free and then do daily "quests" to earn points that will increase your VIP level. As you move up levels, you will qualify for more Omenx at the end of each week (I think). There is also a spinner you get to spin daily that has all sorts of prizes. It could be points towrd your VIP level or even Omenx tokens (I got 10 on my spin today).

If any of this sounds interesting, here is my referral code. https://app.omen.foundation?ref=10D2000BF3ABF6

I did not want to put this as a link under words because I want people to be able to see exactly what the link says. I know I hate clicking links so I didn't want anything to be secret.

Thanks for sharing, friend. It's always good to find other gaming opportunities where, without investment and just by playing daily, we can get excellent results. I'll definitely check it out.

Thanks for sharing that link, friend. Being able to earn extra money without any initial investment is always great, especially when you really need it. And it goes without saying that any other game that allows us to increase our capital is welcome.

Thanks for the heads up! I missed all the hype this weekend, I have no clue what's going on right now or what to do even. I will have to hit you up in Discord tomorrow.

There is a bonus for daily log in so if you can log in today real quick you should.

Got it I think. Thanks!

I agree, games we have on hive now are not that good, people play them just for the earn aspect, most are idle farm... In fact on the long term most die or their token is dust

Out of those Atomic titans seems good for me! An arena shooter, we don't have that on hive

Sadly all images are missing in the post

Yeah I’m bummed that hive image hosting is down. But if you go to the site you can see everything there. Here’s my referral so you can do the daily spin and do the daily quest. https://app.omen.foundation/?ref=10D2000BF3ABF6

not lucky spin, got this

25% VIP Boost
+25% increase on quest VIP for 6 days

Yeah that is kind of small. I'll send you a little hive to make up for it.

This actually sounds really fun! I like that it’s about the games first, not just the money. Thanks for sharing and for the free entry tip!

A lot of blockchain projects lean heavily on tokenomics and forget that if the game isn’t fun, nothing else matters. The fact that OmenX Wars is already playable even in beta gives it more credibility than projects that stay in presale mode forever.

Any information is valuable, my friend. We know when we can find a great project and get the most out of it, so thank you for sharing it with us.

Excellent, friend, thanks for the link. I'll take a look later.

That's what we want, friend: to find a free project where we can gradually generate income, which we'll undoubtedly reinvest. Maybe we're a little stingy, but who doesn't like free stuff? I'll try to look into it, and why not dedicate some time to understanding its explanations to get the maximum benefit possible?
