Good day everyone!
Our new code base for Holybread that we are calling Season 1 has been deployed to a server and is entering the Alpha phase of testing tomorrow.
Alpha Phase
Our internal and remote teams and contractors will be invited to play the new Holybread Code base. We are testing for stability and identifying things we want to improve upon.
Beta Test
We are planning on opening the code base up to Beta Testing for our current players on 9/1/2020.
This will also be for functionality.
The goal here is to run the beta for 1 week and if all goes well deploy the code as Season 1
Season 1
The 1st season will run for 4 weeks.
More info to come on rewards for the season and what to expect moving forward.
Here is a general guideline: (subject to change)
Season 1: Launch new code base (to include Bards/Barbarians/Dungeon Crawling)
Season 2: Add Hive Player-to-Player marketplace / purchase storage space with Fiat
Season 3: Add the witch (buffs/curses) / Tavern chat (in-game Player-to-Player chatting)
Season 4: Set items / Blacksmith / Purchase skins for Fiat
Season 5: add universal items and marketplace with 2nd game (layer 2 NFT's)
One of our other goals is to migrate the old game to the new codebase, more on these plans later on.
I know this is a longtime coming for those players that started back in Jan 2020, but we only acquired the game on 5/22/2020 (about 3 months ago). We had to spend a ton of time learning the old code / players etc...
Our 1st 1 1/2 month's was stablizing things and breathing life back into the game.
We have been focused on the new code base for the last 1 1/2 months. We feel this has gone quick but I know many players do not.

Reward Bots
As of this morning the Arena Reward Bot has just over 13,500HP! It is paying out around $11 USD weekly in rewards. All curation from it is going 100% to power it up!

Is season 1 only 4 weeks to allow for testing and tweaking going into season 2? Will seasons be an actual season length or is it monthly.

True that is a better a time frame. We will see how the Alpha / Beta tests go and then make a decision.
Yes there will be quite a bit of tweaking during Season 1.
After that we are trying to only tweak things between Season's.
So if something is OP during a Season you get the enjoyment of using it for that season, but after that, NERF BAT baby!
