The Forcast is Snow and Freezing Temperatures
We're expecting some freezing temperatures and because we've had some warm weather, our cherry tree is covered in cherry blossoms.
This is trouble, since if the blossoms freeze, there won't be any cherries this summer!
Hope This Works!
We're hoping that the heat from the ground and the tarp over the tree will allow just enough warmth that the fragile blossoms stay fresh and not frozen.
We heated up some bricks in the oven and placed them under the tarp to lend some extra warmth for the tree.

I try with my posts to both entertain and educate in some way. But my focus is mostly on the kids & garden, the two things which occupy my time the most.
Looks like the cherry blossoms may have survived the night. It did get cold and snow, but it's all melting rapidly today.

I had a good chuckle at your last comment about being fruitful and multiplying. You're even with my husband. He's also on 6 but a bumper crop of boys and our one little girl. Thank you for the well wishes concerning our tree. It did snow, but didn't get as cold as we thought. Just a few more evenings to go. Our 6th hasn't arrived yet, but @lturner is 18 weeks in, so progressing nicely.
