We arrived home to find a long list of chores waiting for us. Due to the rain, the yard was overgrown again. It was only mown a week ago :-(

To make things worse, we saw a brown coloured snake up near the compost bin - most likely an eastern brown as they're quite common locally. They're highly venomous, so I'm very reluctant to get back out there and mow.

The trip back from the coast was a little sad, as we would have liked to stay longer. We spent the morning before leaving walking along the beach. It kind of made the boring wait at the bus station, and then the train station, feel even more drab and dreary. Noisy concrete places in huge contrast to our sunny days with the sand and sea.

One cool bit while on the train is going past Mount Tibrogargan. It's a volcanic plug in the Glass House Mountains National Park and looks quite impressive rising from the land around it.

Until next time,
