Looks like they are already edible. The fruits in the garden of my current rent are still in their early stage of growing. I took this photo a few minutes ago (at 11:31 CEST) with my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy A12).
@felixxx What a beautiful cherries honestly i did not see any plant of cherries in my country i usually saw a fruit of cherries at the top of the cake.

Die Glaskirschen sind als erste reif.
Ich hab auch Morellen. Und diverse wilde Kirschen - die gehen aber nur gut in Marmelade.

they are actually over-ripe. this is a variety of white cherry. they stay yellowy-pink, usually.
That fruit in your photo is a variety of plum: Zwetsche -very popular in Germany.

Cherries need cold winters.
