Hello, everyone, I'd like to share the views around my town. I went on my motorcycle today for a quick town tour. I grew up as a kid in this town and at that time it was very quiet here. There was not much going on.
I remember I like reading very much, but there was no bookstores around. There was a generous friend who lent me novels to read. In those years, I read Agatha Christie, The Three Investigators and Alfred Hitchock, and sometimes the Famous Five in Indonesian version. I never asked where my friend bought these novels. Obviously, not from my town.
I found the my town was quite boring since I could not find any "proper" book stores. There were not much things to do, there were not entertainments or parks. One day, I would like to go away from this town, I remembered thinking.

I was in my motorcycle, riding in part of my town.
There are more motorbikes today in the street compared to when I grew up around 30 years ago.
There was a river that I used to play with my elementary school friends. When I was seven I was taken by my friends to this river. Just follow us, they said, when i asked where they took me. Eventually, we arrived at the river bank. All my friends jumped to the river laughing. They called me to join them. As a naive kid, I was excited and jumped to the river without knowing that the river was deep and I could not swim at all.

Across the river, there was a cinema I used to watch movie with my parents. The cinema now has been closed for years. People watched TV more than go to the cinema.
I continued riding across the town, taking some photos where I found interesting spots. I feel once again I experience the hopes and dreams as a kid when I was here some thirty years ago. "One day I would see the world" was my dream as a kid. Never knowing that I would actually fall back to this town, and I haven't seen the world.
