Hello friends! I want to share with you some simple Acoustic Guitar lessons, an instrument that has accompanied me since adolescence and that I consider beautiful and very practical when making music. I hope you can learn a lot from this tutorial that I will develop in several posts.
The acoustic guitar is a 6-string harmonic instrument; the best known varieties are the Spanish or classical guitar with nylon strings and the Folk guitar with metallic strings. The sound box is generally made of rosewood, mahogany, pine or cedar.
Hola amigos! Quiero compartir con ustedes unas sencillas lecciones de Guitarra Acústica, un instrumento que me ha acompañado desde la adolescencia y que considero hermoso y muy práctico a la hora de hacer música. Espero puedan aprender mucho de este tutorial que desarrollaré en varios posts.
La guitarra acústica es un instrumento armónico de 6 cuerdas, las variedades más conocidas son la guitarra española o clásica de cuerdas de nylon y la guitarra folk o sajona de cuerdas metálicas. La caja sonora generalmente se fabrica con madera de palisandro, caoba, pino o cedro.

How to tune the guitar
One option for tuning the guitar is the classic method which I used to use when I was getting started with the guitar. In this case we take the sound of a tuning fork or a telephone signal that will correspond to the 5th string (A) counting from the bottom up. Then we tune the 4th string by pressing the 5th string on the 5th fret. The 3rd string is tuned by pressing the 4th string on the 5th fret. The 2nd string is tuned by pressing the 3rd string at the 4th fret. The 1st string is tuned by pressing the 2nd string at the 5th fret. To tune the 6th string we must make sure that when we press it on the 5th fret, it sounds the same as the 5th open string.
Another more practical and modern alternative is to use an electronic tuning device or application.
Cómo afinar la guitarra
Una opción para afinar la guitarra es el clásico método De Oído, que yo solía emplear cuando estaba iniciándome con la guitarra. En este caso tomamos el sonido de un diapasón o de una señal telefónica que va a corresponder a la 5ta cuerda (LA) contando de abajo hacia arriba. Posteriormente afinamos la 4ta cuerda presionando la 5ta cuerda en el 5to traste. La 3ra cuerda se afina presionado la 4ta cuerda en el 5to traste. La 2da cuerda se afina presionado la 3ra cuerda en el 4to traste. La 1ra cuerda se afina presionado la 2da cuerda en el 5to traste. Para afinar la 6ta cuerda debemos cerciorarnos que al presionarla en el 5to traste, esta suene igual que la 5ta cuerda al aire.
Otra alternativa más práctica y moderna es utilizar un dispositivo o una aplicación de afinación electrónica.
