During this time of quarantine, not only humans are affected by social isolation, our pets have also had to deal with some changes in their routines and lifestyle.
Pets are our faithful and fun companions that become part of our family, they are generally very dynamic and energetic, and they love to play around, go for walks and run. My dog Keysha, a restless and cheerful golden retriever, is not the exception.
Durante este tiempo de cuarentena no solo los seres humanos nos vemos afectados por el aislamiento social, también nuestras mascotas han tenido que lidiar con algunos cambios en sus rutinas y estilo de vida.
Las mascotas son nuestros fieles y divertidos compañeros que llegan a ser parte de la familia, por lo general son muy dinámicos y enérgicos, les encanta jugar, salir a pasear y correr, mi perra Keysha, una golden retriever muy inquieta y jovial, no es la excepción.
Keysha loves going for walks, and although I have been able to take her out sometimes, it’s not as often as it used to be; my brother and I used to take her to the park, now I only walk her around the block. It is very funny to see her when I bring the leash; she jumps and goes crazy, because she knows that I am going to take it out.
Keysha es amante de los paseos, y aunque he podido sacarla a caminar algunas veces no es con la misma frecuencia que antes, mi hermano y yo solíamos llevarla al parque, ahora solo caminamos alrededor de la cuadra. Es muy gracioso verla cuando traigo la cadena, se pone a saltar y enloquece, porque sabe que la voy a sacar.
During this quarantine the days have been very hot and pets feel that too. Unlike other dogs that I’ve had, Keysha loves bathing, she comes calm when I call her and doesn’t resist; she really enjoys it since it’s very refreshing for her.
It’s important to take good care of our pets and keep them hydrated, giving them a lot of attention and affection during this period of isolation so that they feel as comfortable as possible.
Durante esta cuarentena los días han sido muy calurosos y las mascotas sienten eso también. A diferencia de otros perros que he tenido Keysha ama bañarse, viene tranquila cuando la llamo y no pone ninguna resistencia, realmente lo disfruta ya que eso la refresca mucho.
Es importante mantener a nuestras mascotas bien cuidadas e hidratadas, y darle mucha atención y cariño durante este periodo de aislamiento para que se sientan lo más cómodos posible.
