Vancouver under de facto Martial Law

in #health3 years ago

In the covid-19 world of 2020, those who control testing and reporting increasingly control all of society. Today in British Columbia, health "officials" declared an immediate total lockdown of the greater Vancouver health region - over half the province's populace!

Here are links to the provincial and national November 7th official media announcements.

Summary/notes:

  • There was no warning and the lockdown went into effect within hours of announcement.
  • Unauthorized travel is banned.
  • Contact with others is banned (except between people you live with, or for essential purposes).
  • Most private business must close.
  • Police will be used to enforce the orders.
  • Orders will be re-evaluated (ie: expanded) in 2 weeks.

I spent my childhood in Vancouver, then returned for university, spending my 20s and 30s there. My wife @MediKatie and I did Liberty-focused activism on Vancouver's streets for many years. I called it "home", and it called me "son". My own children were all born there, and I buried my beloved grandparents there. Even after we had no family nearby, Vancouver was our stomping ground, where we had our connections, our roots, and our future.

But when MediKatie shocked us both (and her doctors) by becoming pregnant in early 2019, we decided to move inland to the Okanagan region (south-central British Columbia). The move was expensive, stressful, risky, and taxing, but we pulled it off to have a better place to raise our son.

Now, everything we once knew is totally locked down within the "red zone" - no non-essential human contact outside your primary family unit. No travel, no sport, no socialization, no protest, no culture, no friends, no free market, no weddings, no funerals.

De Facto Martial Law

The police have been granted additional powers and resources to handle anyone who disobeys authorities (socialization, unauthorized exercise, conducting business, travel, etc). Violent force backing up health orders? That's twisted.

Who elected these "health authorities", anyway? Anyone with the power to lock down a region (collapsing the economy and tripling the suicide rate) must have been carefully vetted and put in place through a democratic process.... right? No, these "authorities" and "health czars" and "officials" appeared from nowhere at the start of the crisis, appointed by the state itself.

It seems to me there's a Bonnie Henry in every province, and in every state, and in every country that is dealing with this global covid-19 tyranny. Different names, of course, but they all have the same mandate - to usher society into complete authoritarianism, dependence on the system, and a great reset (new world order).

"Christmas is going virtual" really means it's CANCELLED

Christmas by yourself at home staring into a smart device isn't Christmas. We can do that ANY day. Christmas is Christmas because of all the things that are being cancelled this year, like family, friends, hugs, cheer, food, and you can absolutely forget going caroling or meeting someone under the mistletoe.

In fact, we may have already celebrated Christmas in our various traditional ways for the last time.

After all, we're being told by the mainstream state media that normal is never coming back, and anyone who wishes it was, is suffering from mental illness.

Now I'm further separated from 2 of my children (who live with my ex) by a red zone. Even if there wasn't anything else keeping they and I apart, now there are provincial health orders preventing travel, and preventing us from "gathering". And this is likely going to be expanded to all of BC (and all of Canada and the world).

Sounds to me like the plan is to crush the human spirit over the dark winter months ahead.

As "cases" continue to climb, thanks to increased testing and redefining diagnostic criteria, fear is stoked by the media, justifying whatever measures experts/officials/authorities decide for the rest of society.

We are at the mercy of the unelected officials, and those who blindly obey their mandates.

I suggest you do a small Christmas ASAP (with whoever you've got nearby that isn't scared shitless of "getting the covid"). If you're still someplace that allows it, do it now. If you're still able to celebrate in late December, great, you get a bonus! If not, you'll thank yourself forever that you did it.

Many of us will be seeing our family members and friends for the final time. In a lot of cases, that final time has already happened. Canada (and most of the world) is locking down hard - in many ways permanently.

If only a few more of us were willing to see things as they really are, make the necessary changes in our lives, and speak up, maybe this wouldn't be happening. Maybe it's not too late.

Sort:

No unauthorized travel sounds like North Korea and virtual means cancelled. Who the fuck wants to have Christmas over FaceTime or whatever. Virtual events for things that need to be in-person is unacceptable. Tot time at the library in my town has gone virtual, and my baby isn't allowed screen time except for a little bit of baby Einstein....that's gross anyway: lack of socialization plus screen time, no no no, that's not what babies need.

seems as useful as that library in the Vatican that no public person is good enough to read the books in.

Yeah, there's a Bonny Henry in every state - i.e a person willing to sell out the rest of us and undermine humanity to satisfy their insatiable greed. There's a little Bonny Henry in us all, it's just most of us are lower down on the totem pole.

I believe her, and it's good people like her (who have seen it happen elsewhere) are giving their perspective.

I'm starting Christmas early...and going hard all year until all of the New Years are finished :) Upvoted and resteeemed

Yes, that's right.... Christmas begins NOW and goes nonstop until 2021!

The amount of harm done to society and individuals by lockdowns and restrictions is massive, and will take decades to analyze, let alone recover from. This is a crime on a colossal scale!

Is it true that suicide rates are up more than double in many places? The amount of suffering going on is immeasurable :(
