Welcome to my Hebrew reading & language series.

Genesis 18:23-26

Here it is today. The city believed to be Sodom. We are reading about the visitors that left Abraham and headed toward Sodom to destroy it.

They were not in armored vehicles, just three men walking toward the city. They must have appeared fearsome because as soon as they left, Abraham started to plead for the lives of the people there, among whom lived Lot.

He asks, "But what if there were to be found fifty who are righteous, would you still destroy it?"

God promised him that if fifty tsadikim (righteous) were found, he would spare all of the place for their sake.

I imagine how Sodom will have been terrible then for God to send three angels to destroy thay city when 1 angel is enough to make that job done.
That really means their iniquity is really high and have reach the highest level.

May I not encounter God wrath
