The language of ivrit ( עברית ) Genesis 19, Video #1

in #hebrew4 years ago

Welcome to my Hebrew reading & language series.

Genesis 19:1-3

We are starting a new chapter today - congratulations if you are still with me.

Lot meets the two angels at the gate. One might wonder why he waits at the gate every night. He seems to know who and what they are, and he invites them to wash up and stay the night at his home. He also prepares matzot or unleavened bread for them, and they ate.

The angels have rejected Lot's request for them to stay at his house. They want to stay in the open square during the night. They obviously want to see if there are ten or more righteous men living in the city. We will see what happens in our reading next week.

Thank you for visiting! Read with me as we unfold the story of Sodom as Lot entertains visitors. We also have a short clip from the Hebrew film dubbed in English. Click the video link below.

Hearing you speak in Hebrew with the interlinear is a blessing. Thank you.

I always enjoy your reading series. The angels were sent by God and glad Lot realise this earlier

Eager to read the part 2

Still here.... reading, listening, learning. Thanks for continuing to post each Friday night.

I just signed up for Bittube too..... will post some videos there.

it's reliable but I am not sure that they will defend free speech as much as some sites. Glad to see you are still here my friend.
