In my (almost) 30 years of emergency nursing it never ceased to excite me when the aero-medical team would come in to transport a critical patient. Only once did we get a late night dust off - here an EC135 Eurocopter made the trip from New Hampshire to take my critical patient to Mass General Hospital in Boston.
While fascinating and exciting to watch a couple of months of Flight Nurse training in Arizona killed my desire to be a flight nurse for good.
