I really like to enjoy the nice landscape in the Alps here in Austria but in the last years I am not that fit and good in hiking as I used to be, but I try to gain back some fitness and hopefully even bigger hikes will not be any problem soon. I hope I can keep track and don't get that lazy again. :-) Since it is very beautiful in the alps and hiking there on a beautiful day in early summer or in late summer is always very nice. It is often not so hot up there in the mountains and therefore it is easy to escape the hot weather down in the valleys.
But the nature and the landscape up there in the mountains can be very beautiful and you also know what you have done after a long day of hiking and falling exhausted into the bed.

Beautiful clicks...felt like Indian Himalayas
That part about escaping the heat by getting higher really hit me, summers here can be brutal and the cooler air up top feels like a reset :) I like how you're easing back into longer hikes, consistent small climbs add up fast and the legs remember quick. Been there with fitness dips, I once got winded on a short trail and felt like an ADmin of excuses' but kept going. Keep that pace, soon you’ll be doing beuatiful all day routes without thinking.
