New Year's eve today with wind an snow. Not particularly good regarding fireworks but great for animals, maybe less firework to be afraid for. A trip out in the woods is good for our dog Nero on days like this. After a longer trip he is tired and more calm and less stressed when the fireworks start outside.
We used snowshoes on todays 5 km hike, they are easier to walk with in the woods and steep terrain than ski.

At the highest point around 300 meters above the sea I had a nice pulse and sweating.
Nice, juicy birchwood.
Have to move on.
Fresh and windy trip.
After the rain last days, a little stream is visible.
It looks like New Year's eve will be cloudy with snow in the air. I wish you a great celebration and best wishes for 2020.

Oh! Snow!!
It's too warm here in Tampere. The little snow we had has melted away and the weather forecast does not promise the temperature to go under 0°C. Oh well, maybe next year. And as it's only few hours away, I'm hoping for the best. Hoping for snow.

I'm waiting so hard for snow down here in the valley and you show so much of it. The few times it snowed a bit here has all been washed away by the rain.
