Does art imitate life, or life imitate art?

Either history is reading the South Park's scripts, or is South Park writing history. Does art imitate life, or life imitate art? Statues of Christopher Columbus are being torn down as the #BLM have spawned other actions.

We are seeing a wave of protests, riots and change sweeping the world at the moment. Much of it seems very surreal.

It leaves me wondering, what's next? Is it time to start studying the Simpson's?

“In individuals, insanity is rare; but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule.” - Nietzsche

Sort:

South Park too hey XD On the one hand I remember reading how The Simpsons must have a time traveller working for them with the amount of stuff they've predicted. On the other hand when you're a storyteller and observing society it's probably easy enough to make a "prediction" (aka write about something likely or otherwise that seems like a good story) and coincidentally (or otherwise XD) having it come true :)

Carl Jung had this to say:

“Great artists of all Ages are the unwitting mouthpieces of the psychic secrets of [the] times”

That could also be it XD

That's Southpark.

Yep, corrected.

good job :D
