Today I present woman which never has title like queen despite the fact that she was wife of the king. This woman is Kirsten Munk.

Kirsten Munk (sometimes called Christina Munk) was born in 6 July 1598, in Denmark. Her parents were Ludvig Munk and Ellen Marsvin-members of wealthy but untitled Danish noble family (their pictures bellow)

At first she had to become the mistress of the king of Denmark, Norway-Christian IV of Denmark (12 April 1577-28 February 1648)(ruled Denmark and Norway 4 April 1588-28 February 1648)(his picture when he was a young king and later picture are bellow).

But finally in 1615 Kirsten Munk became the second wife of king Christian IV of Denmark. Kirsten for Christian gave birth 12 children of which 10 daughters survived.

Despite the fact that during the marriage Kirsten gave birth to so many children, rumors circulated that the youngest daughter-Dorothea Elisabeth of Schleswig-Holstein (also known as Dorothea Elisabeth Christiansdatter)(1 september 1629-18 March 1687)-wasn't the daughter of king Christian IV. Rumors circulated that she was indeed his wife’s lover-Otto Ludwig's daughter.

Between 1627-1629 Christian IV charged Kirsten with adultery, witchcraft, and consorting with a magician in Hambur. In 1629 Christian IV finally broke up with her (unofficially true) and exiled her to Jutland.

Nevertheless, she survived her husband king Christian IV for 10 years and died in 19 April 1658 (king Christian IV died in 28 February 1648).
