Traditional Recipe: Eggplant sauce and Boiled yam for Weight loss

Have you ever thought of making Garden egg(Egg plant) sauce? Rather than the regular chewing of egg plant that is popularly known by everyone? Are you surprised about hearing the word Egg plant sauce?

Well, Eggplant sauce is an amazing recipe peculiar to the Eastern part of Nigeria. It serves as a good dish when expecting a visitor of great importance. It is one dish that is highly nutritional, as we all know that egg plant is rich in fiber and can aid in digestion as well as the improvement of bowel movement.

Egg plants are also good antioxidants that helps our body fight diseases as well as help improve visions. They also help, when it comes to general weight loss associated with the body. Often times than none, most people tend to ignore egg plants, without knowing that it has great nutritional value. Today, I will be sharing how I made a Traditional sauce, which is the egg-plant sauce and served it with boiled yam.

INGREDIENTS

  • egg plant
  • fresh pepper
  • salt
  • maggi seasoning
  • onions
  • crayfish
  • smoked fish
  • Dry prawns
  • palm oil

PREPARATION

  • I diced my egg plant into tiny cubes, washed, and placed them into a pot, and allowed to boil until it is totally soft.

  • on a clean and dry pan, I added my palm oil to heat up a little.

  • I added my diced onions

  • I added my my roughly blended pepper and crayfish mixture.

  • I stirred and allowed it to fry for some seconds

  • I added m salt to taste. Please ignore the image 😂 I did not add all the salt.

  • I added my seasoning cubes

  • I added my dry prawns

  • My egg plant is already soft, I removed it from heat, and blended it roughly. I went ahead and added it to the fry sauce.

  • I added my dried fish, that I cut into tiny piece

  • I stirred and allowed it to fry for some seconds before bring it down from heat.

  • check out this Goodness. I fished it on a plate, and served it with boiled yam.

  • For my boiled yam, I peeled it, washed it properly and cut it into the shapes I want. Placed on a pot with water and salt and then cooked for 20mins.
