No one beats the experience of kamayan specially after taking a deep to our white sand beaches such as in Siargao.
Boodle Fight has been a part of our eating experience during family and friends get together.Its the simplest Filipino way of celebrating the food with our loved ones.Not only sharing the food but also sharing the table and the Banana leaves as our main plate to savour the food and the views of the surroundings.Might as well share a hearty laugh at any loosen quirks at the moment.Besides Its not a Filipino get together without Jokes.
It is quick, simple and unscrupulous, quick because we dont need complicated recipes.Even those who dont know how to cook can have it and quick because Its not even gonna last for an hour to eat the whole thing, we just need a moment of silence.(Wala munang pakealam sa isa't isa)To Focus on the food.
Simple because we just need our never ending staple food:Rice, fried or grilled seafoods or meats such as chicken or even liempo, Torta, sometimes hotdog, itlog na pula, tomatoes and pwede ba mawala ang sawsawan na Calamansi and toyo with added Onions(its a mixed and matched according to the region) and of course fresh fruits from the market.We dont even need fine cutleries, we just need our hand to eat. Who say's eating with hands aren't sexy? Haha
Unscrupulous because we are totally shameless about not looking good while eating instead we are even fighting for our fair share when someone is grabbing what is ours.Pero aminin niyo magkakahiyaan sa huli and then may matitira🤷
Since we are in the island feels, might as well matched it with fresh watermelon smoothies with mangoes, oats, nuts and grated coconut on top served on coconut made bowl.
Bonus is the little one who's gigil from eating watermelon, Who cares if she's that hungry.
