글로벌 항공기 업체 보잉이 허니웰과 함께 '고 다이렉트(GoDirect)'라는 항공기 부품 판매 플랫폼에 블록체인 기술을 도입했습니다. 블록체인 기술을 통해 항공기 부품을 필요로 하는 기업에 적시에 직접 판매할 수 있게 된다는 것이 양사의 설명이다.
최근 미국 애리조나 피닉스에서 열린 하이퍼레저 글로벌포럼 2020에서 허니웰의 책임자인 리사 버터(Lisa Butters)는 "최근 보잉이 항공기 부품을 '고 다이렉트'에 업로드했다"고 발표했습니다.
항공 산업은 전통적으로 각 개별 부품, 원래 제조업체 및 현재 안전 표준과 관련된 업무를 종이 인증서나 인터넷에 의존해 왔는데, 하이퍼레저 패브릭의 허니웰 커스텀 버전인 고 다이렉트를 통해 전달의 불편함, 위조 우려 등 여러 어려움들이 개선될 것으로 보입니다.
