Oftentimes, when a ship (or group) appear on the ship cameras, the times are such that you don't get to see them at another camera. This time, I was able to watch a pair of ships through three cameras - Marine City, Algonac and finally Detroit, Michigan.
The two ships are Samuel Risley - a Canadian Coast Guard vessel often seen doing various missions along the St. Clair, mostly icebreaking right now.... and Algonova - a tanker operated by Algoma Corporation - that journeyed from Sarnia, Ontario, to Nanticoke, Pennsylvania.
Here they are first in Marine City around 9am Eastern. (StreamTime Live cam.)
About half an hour later, they turned up at Algonac. The bright white of the snow/ice makes for some camera challenges.
Three and a half hours later, they finally reach Detroit. Considering ice, they've made good time.
After going through Detroit, USCGC Hollyhock picked up this escort mission and Samuel Risley remained to escort another ship upbound (next time.)
I really enjoy watching as the ships continue from one camera to the next. I can't be there, so this is the next best thing. I think that even if I lived in the area, I would watch these cameras since no one can be in so many places at once - except by the great technology of the internet and all these wonderful live streaming cameras. Do take a few minutes to explore the links I give you below and maybe discover a new hobby.

The sharing of the pictures/cameras is encouraged for the education and enjoyment of all. Please take a look at these cameras on YouTube.
Note: Boatnerd also hosts shipping news, huge amounts of data about almost any "laker" and even many of the "saltie" visitors - and even a book called "Know Your Ships". I would encourage supporting his great work, especially as he has plans to add more cameras in 2021.
