Yellow Tortoise Beetles

in Fascinating Insects3 years ago (edited)

Another interesting insect is the tortoise beetle or tortoiseshell beetles also call tropical tortoise beetles with the brilliant yellow color in marking black dots on the shell. The tortoise beetles belong to the leaf beetle family, Chrysomelidae a subfamily of the leaf beetles. It's a kind of easy-found beetle which often seen on the leaf or in the grassland. It looks somewhat like a turtle with a colorful. It's wonderful finding this species somewhere around the grass in front of my house. It made no significant move so I could play longer with a mobile click. So, here are some pics of tortoise beetle that I took with a smartphone and external macro.
