One Sunday, I and my friends just finished photo hunting in a local forest. Suddenly a friend of mine saw a strange-shaped caterpillar. All of us, seeing the caterpillar for the first time, immediately scrambled to take the picture. But my friend who discovered the caterpillar first became annoyed that he should have taken the first shot.

In the end, we had to give in and let him take photos first. I and my two other friends had to queue in order to take a photo of the caterpillar.

I searched for an explanation about the caterpillar on the internet and found a description that it was the coconut nettle caterpillar or also known as Setora nitens caterpillar. This is the nettle caterpillar which will metamorphose into the cup moth that belongs to the family Limacodidae.

Really looks strange. I bet those hairy bristles are itchy. 😳
