Small Branded Swift Among Siam Weed Flowers

In a meadow, weed flowers are blooming. It is a habitat where nectar-sucking insects depend for their lives. There are many small insects that fly here and there, perch on one flower and then move to another flower.

But among the insects, my attention was drawn to a small branded swift (Pelopidas mathias) flying gently among the Siam weed flowers. It stuck out its proboscis and sucked up the nectar voraciously, again, and again. Yes, he looks like a hungry baby sucking his mother's nipples.

At that time the weather was quite hot, I who saw it suddenly became thirsty. Too bad, I forgot to bring mineral water!
