A tiring process πŸ¦‹

Hi all... How are you today? Of course very fine

My greetings to communities

On this occasion, I would like to repeat the material on biology, when we were still in junior high school, about a process which is often called perfect metamorphosis, which applies to the process of the occurrence of butterflies.

Do you still remember ! If you have forgotten, let's go back (re-review) to discuss it, hopefully it will be useful for all of us.

The process of butterfly occurrence, called complete metamorphosis

Of course we know that...

Every species of living things, of course, mostly have their own life partner, only a few percent do not need a partner or will go through a process that often occurs like humans, namely a marriage process. There are some species that do not need a mating ritual such as bacteria, viruses, and amoeba, they reproduce, divide or reproduce by mutation (independ). But most creatures have partners with male and female sexes. So the relationship is called marriage.

A husband needs a wife to be able to continue human nature, so that from two humans of different sexes there will be tens of humans or even millions or more until they are at the peak of civilization and in the end everything will return to its origin

Mating stage

Likewise other creatures that have their own partners with different sexes of each. Likewise every creature other than humans, one of which is a butterfly and they will be the discussion in this meeting.

As in the explanation in the previous post, of course, they have discussed the marriage process and the birth process until they find their soul mate. For more details, please read the link beside. Posted two days ago

Complete metamorphosis

1. Egg of stages

The process of the occurrence of this butterfly, is said to be in perfect condition, meaning that if you look closely it turns out that the butterfly is very great, because it has lived in several forms, every beautiful butterfly must feel one form, after another. Even though at some stage he is disliked but in the end people will always like him. Step by step in the form of eggs, caterpillars, cocoons, and finally comes out a beautiful figure that is a butterfly, this is called complete metamorphosis.

  1. Egg stage

When a butterfly is born from a cocoon, its main task is to find a partner who will become a mate, both of them are from the same birth, meaning that each male will immediately look for a female not long after leaving the cocoon, and in a short time the butterfly will have a dramatic relationship, namely marriage, sacred or not, between men and women directly having an intimate relationship in the form of marriage, and that's the nature of the butterfly nation.

1. Egg of stages

From this relationship, the female will have seeds stored neatly in her stomach, which will later become small eggs. When the female's body already has egg seeds that have been planted by the male through marriage, then at a certain time she will look for a location on the leaf surface, to lay (lay eggs) on the leaf of her choice, of course the mother is very smart in choosing healthy leaves, because she knows later the baby-to-be will devour the leaves themselves.

Each female who already has eggs, will have a certain number, meaning that once she lays an egg, the female butterfly releases tens of eggs and even reaches hundreds, but the eggs shown in the picture have dozens. Even so, of all the eggs that are hatched, not all of them can survive. This is due to the influence of nature itself, or sometimes being hunted by predators who often like butterfly eggs.

While the size of the eggs are round and some are oval, exactly as seen in the picture, unfortunately my camera was unable to detect the actual shape of the egg because the zoom of my cellphone camera was limited. If the air temperature is good for the health of the eggs it will hatch in about 3-5 days, and even then it depends on the butterfly species itself.

2. Stages of becoming a caterpillar

2. The second stage of change is in the form of a caterpillar

Well, when the eggs have hatched, you can see the larvae which often make people very disgusted (amused), their job as caterpillars is to just enjoy every food available at the birth site, even some larvae often eat their own shells, as food, the first food. They have to eat more leaves for the upcoming preparations, because the time will come to stop eating. This preparation is a larval trait that eats a lot of leaves, so farmers say they are pests (if on plants cultivated by farmers) but butterflies often choose wild plants such as kapok plants, because they are far from the reach of humans and others.

2. Stages of becoming a caterpillar

The main task is to eat a lot of food, so that its body weight must reach the size of 100 times the size of the larvae that have just hatched from their eggs, in general and I saw for myself the size of the larvae will grow to about 5 cm long, while the larvae seen from this picture are only reach about 2 cm and they should be able to eat as much food as possible to the maximum size limit. The journey continues until this larva replaces its skin up to 5 times, so that it is time to stop eating, and it will remain silent for a certain time until its body turns into a cocoon.

3. Stages of becoming a cocoon

3. The third stage of the next change is the cocoon

In this third stage, the shape of the cocoon looks very elegant and I really like the shape, especially as in the picture in this post. The stage of becoming a cocoon is a very long waiting stage, in the 8th grade biology textbook it is written that every cocoon will last several weeks, even months, while the findings of local research colleagues in our area, say that, there is one species of the butterfly becomes a cocoon until two years later it turns into a butterfly. In general, these butterflies are often found in the forests of Sumatra, which have cold temperatures and often rain (Description of research colleagues by Mujiyanah)

3. Stages of becoming a cocoon

Even though it is visible to the eyes of the masses from the outside, nothing happens, but know that inside the butterfly's body is being formed, which later when the time comes, a sweet and beautiful figure will emerge, namely a butterfly.
(The explanation of the process of forming a butterfly in a cocoon will be explained at the next meeting)

4. Stages of becoming an a butterfly

As mentioned above, that when undergoing a period of solitude in a paper-covered skin or cocoon, for a few weeks, or several months or even 2 years, then significantly, a figure with soft wings appears, which has various colors and patterns and looks so beautiful. So that when you see it, humans will forget its origin which comes from the egg, larva, and cocoon stages. So what is seen is the figure of a beautiful butterfly, has beautiful wings, often flies around flower plants, has soft wings, everyone loves it.

4. Stages of becoming a butterfly

So, this process is called complete metamorphosis. This process takes longer, and they are often on every side of life. At first glance they look like butterflies of course we will judge they only live a few days or generally short-lived. It will live if we trace it from certain stages, starting from mating, laying eggs, larvae, cocoons, it turns out to have a fairly long life, although on every side of life it undergoes various processes.

I myself, apart from admiring her beautiful physique, but am very amazed when I see it from every side that comes (as can be seen at every stage of the process). Then they continued to survive on this earth for a long time, this process of complete metamorphosis is what made the they strong and still exists today.

4. Stages of becoming a butterfly

Maybe if the process of presence and occurrence were not like that, maybe the story would be different, and this is what a life says, even though the events are different, life after life continues to be passed by this beautiful winged creature. So that makes us humans ask and observe it and in the end the answer has been found.

To be continued...
