Chelsea has finally announced Mauricio Pochettino as the new manager of the club. It was an extended interaction between both parties, but they came to an agreement, and Pochettino has already resumed his role as Chelsea's manager. Pochettino is an incredible manager, but I still have my doubts about him because he was unable to deliver during his time at PSG even with the world-class players he had at his disposal at PSG. The Argentinan coach failed to lead PSG to a champions league final and win it, which was what the owners of the club wanted more than anything, and that led to his sack at PSG.

The Premier League is not new to Pochettino because he has coached two EPL clubs years back. Southampton and Tottenham are the two EPL clubs Pochettino coached a few years ago. Southampton finished 8th on the EPL table under Pochettino in his first season as the club manager and also had incredible stats against top teams in the league that season.

Pochettino's Journey in Tottenham Hotspurs was like a fairytale. In the 2014/2015 season in the EPL Pochettino lead his side to fifth place on the table which was his first season as the club's head coach. The following season Tottenham went on to finish third on the table which secured them a UCL place the following season. Pochettino was the one who brought Harry Kane into the first team, most of his coaching team thought Harry Kane won't succeed as a striker, but the Argentinan decided to give him a chance, and it paid off in the end.

Today Harry Kane is the highest goalscorer in Tottenham's history because of a gamble Pochettino made in the past. Tottenham reach their first champions league final but could not win the competition as they lost to Liverpool 2-0. Pochettino's journey as a head coach and manager shows he has what it takes to build a club and take them to the highest level in any competition.

Pochettino has already made it clear that Joao Felix is not in his plan for next season. This means Joao Felix will return to Atletico Madrid and won't continue in Chelsea anymore. Atletico Madrid has already made it known that Felix will be available in the summer window from the looks of things, Atletico does not want him either, they have been doing well since he left on loan to Chelsea.

Chelsea will be active this summer window, they need a striker and they will explore all possible options to sign a top striker this summer. Players will also leave the club this summer as Pochettino will decide who he wants and who he doesn't want in the coming weeks. Pochettino has a lot of work to do at Chelsea, and I look forward to seeing his retuned in the EPL next season.
