Good match of Superliga 2 Men's volleyball held on Saturday at the pavilion of Sagrada Familia, with two teams in very different circumstances in the competition, facing the last classified with the aspirant to promotion, which offered a good show in the first two sets, with a very even game.
The first set started with both teams very motivated: the visiting team wanted to get the match on track to get the promotion place and the home team wanted to show their good level of play. The powerful play at the net of San Sadurniño was answered with a good blocking and an effective attack on the wings by the A Coruña team. This is how the first part of the set went, reaching a 15-15 that showed the equality in the field. In the second half of the set the offensive game of San Sadurniño prevailed, doing damage in the middle of the net, where the blocking of A Coruña could not stop it. At this moment the doubts appeared in Calasancias Coruña, committing their first errors in reception and attack, allowing Intasa San Sadurniño to leave the scoreboard to score this first set with tranquility.
In the second set Calasancias Coruña regained its level of play, breaking the visitor's blocking with attacks by the center of the net and the wings. Two reception errors allowed Intasa San Sadurniño to take advantage, reaching a 9-15 that seemed to point to a comfortable end of set for the visitors. However Calasancias Coruña began again to show their best moments of play, with a safe reception and attacking alternatives that did much damage to the visitors, managing to overcome the set and get a 22-22. Once again Calasancias Coruña was unable to finish off the good work done throughout the set, committing errors in the attack that allowed the visiting team to take the second set.
In the third set Calasancias Coruña accused the unsuccessful wear of the previous sets, losing concentration in the reception and attack, which allowed Intasa San Sadurniño perfectly control the set, thanks to its powerful attack and the continuous unforced errors of the locals.
With this result, Intasa San Sadurniño gets the place to fight for promotion to the Superliga, which will be played on the weekend of April 10.
