Gif found hereFor those of you who don't know, the outbreak caused a few changes at work. This is especially true when it comes to personal protection equipment. That includes quota, when, and where to wear certain PPEs.
Even for working on simple things on the benches, I would have to have a mask, surgical foot covers, and whatnot. It took some time for me to get used to wearing them all the time in most places. Things used to be a lot more simpler. For the record, nobody I know in the lab has gotten COVID-19.
Work is picking up. I hope things will inch towards normal soon.
In essence, I feel like I'm in a perpetual Kakashi Hatake (see .gif) cosplay, only more blue and I don't have the long hair. Well, not anymore anyways. Add the face shields for certain situations and I have the entire package.
For those of you who don't know, Kakashi is a character from the Anime Naruto. It's been a long time since I have watched that series.
I feel pretty lucky that things haven’t changed for my work environment in a negative way at all. Shoot I get to take my work truck to my house and start from home. I do the morning conference call in my sweatpants. Lol. One thing is parking... now that I got my wife’s car fixed I have to park one vehicle on the street. I guess I could park my camp trailer in the front yard???
Glad to hear you guys are all staying healthy in the lab. I had to get an MRI on my wrist the other day and just wearing a mask for the hour and a half was enough for me. lol Hopefully we can all push through this and put it behind us.
Is your wrist all right?
Ya, it was from an accident back in January. I got caught between a couple big reels of wire and bent it way back and sprained it. It still wasn’t feeling quite right so they injected the dye into it. They found a small tear in the ligament between the radius and ulna in my wrist.
Do you need surgery for that?
I hope not. Lol. I go to a specialist sometime soon.

Dang I gotta call them back and setup an appointment. It's probably going to be a Zoom appointment. Lol
I can only imagine how things have changed in the lab environment because of all of this. Have things slowed down with people not going in for procedures and stuff and doctors not ordering as many non essential tests?
It was slow for a while, but things are picking up.
@enforcer48 though I have not been to work since March, I have been at home due to the COVID 19. And using of the protection kits is very important at this time. I used the nose mask a few days ago and it wasn't convenient but I still had to force myself to. Regards
