Hello dear friends of #Hive, I wish you all a warm greeting and a happy start of the week. In this opportunity, I come to bring you an idea I had from my last post about electronic components (Change of double outlet for the home). Do you remember the old outlet that we took out of the wall? Well, I was thinking of placing it in my room as an "Extra Extension" something that would be useful to charge my cell phone and still be in a safe place while plugged in. Remember that it is dangerous to handle electricity, so maximum discretion and take the appropriate safety measures.
It occurred to me to use the old wall outlet that I had in the wall and with a cable to make an extension that I will connect to an outlet that is hidden and almost inaccessible. This outlet that is in the wall (behind the closet) has already connected the cable of the TV and as it is an outlet of 2 in which it is left over we will connect our extension.

En esta oportunidad, les vengo a traer una idea que tuve a partir de mi última publicación sobre componentes electrónicos (Cambio de tomacorriente doble para el hogar). ¿Recuerdan el antiguo tomacorriente que sacamos de la pared? Pues estaba pensando en colocarlo en mi habitación como una “Extensión adicional” algo que me sea útil para cargar mi celular y que a su vez esté en un lugar seguro mientras está conectado. Recordar que es peligroso manipular electricidad, así que máxima discreción y tomen las medidas de seguridad adecuadas.
Se me ocurrió ocupar el antiguo tomacorriente que tenía en la pared y con un cable hacer una extensión que conectaré a un tomacorriente que está escondido y es casi inaccesible. Dicha toma que está en la pared (detrás del armario) tiene ya conectado el cable de la Tv y como es una toma de 2 en la que le sobra le conectaremos nuestra extensión.
First for the elaboration of this extension we will need a simple outlet (the old one we took out of the wall), some cable (what is necessary to reach the power source, in this case the inaccessible outlet) and we will reuse a plug from any electronic device that is no longer useful. In addition to this a screwdriver, wire cutter and insulating tape.
To make this connection is very simple. Simply, we are going to take the cable and we will cut a little bit exposing its 2 internal wires, one of the wires goes screwing to one of the poles of the socket and the other one to the other side. After this we will take the other end of the cable, we expose its internal wires and we will join one of the wires to one of the wires of the plug and in the same way on the other side. After this we will insulate well both connections, either using hot silicone as in my case or insulating tape. Here in my country Venezuela this tape is known as Teipe.
Primero para la elaboración de esta extensión necesitaremos un tomacorriente sencillo (El viejo que sacamos de la pared), Un poco de cable (Lo necesario para llegar a la fuente de energía, en este caso la toma inaccesible) y reutilizaremos un enchufe de cualquier aparato electrónico que ya no sirva. Adicional a esto un destornillador, corta cable y cinta aislante.
Para hacer esta conexión es muy sencillo. Simplemente, vamos a tomar el cable y cortaremos un poco exponiendo sus 2 cables internos, uno de los cables va atornillando a uno de los polos del tomacorriente y el otro al otro lado. Luego de esto tomaremos el otro extremo del cable, exponemos sus cables internos y uniremos uno de los cables a uno de los cables del enchufe y de igual manera del otro lado. Luego de esto vamos a aislar bien ambas conexiones, bien sea usando silicona caliente como en mi caso o cinta aislante. Aquí en mi país Venezuela se le conoce a dicha cinta como Teipe.
We place its cover, adjust and ready, our improvised extension with 2 sockets is ready. I fixed this socket to my cabinet and to make it more aesthetic I covered the edges with cardboard and fixed them to the wood of the cabinet with silicone.
Le colocamos su tapa, ajustamos y listo, nuestra extensión improvisada con 2 tomas está lista. Yo esta toma la fijé a mi armario y para hacerlo más estético recubrí los bordes con cartón y los fijé a la madera del armario con silicona.
To make the base where I will put my cell phone to charge, I took a medicine box about the size of my cell phone (it can be made with better quality materials such as plastic or even wood). In my case I used a cardboard box and cut it so that it was easier to place and remove the cell phone from there. To finish we opened a little hole where the charger pin goes in and I fixed it with 2 small screws to the cabinet. With these final touches my "Cell phone charging station" is ready. It is very comfortable to use and avoids many problems such as the cable bending and breaking internally or moving while connected, damaging the charging pin.
Para la realización de la base donde pondré mi celular a cargar, tomé una caja de medicinas de un tamaño aproximado a el de mi celular. (Se puede hacer con materiales de mejor calidad como plástico o incluso madera). En mi caso use una caja de cartón y la corté de manera que fuera más fácil colocar y sacar el celular de ahí. Para finalizar abrimos un huequito donde entre el pin del cargador y lo fijé con 2 tornillos pequeños al armario. Con estos retoques finales está lista mi “Estación de carga para celular”. Es muy cómodo de usar y evita muchos problemas como que el cable se doble rompiéndose internamente o que se mueva estando conectado dañando el pin de carga.

Hola @jadverde22 aplaudo la creatividad y la busque de soluciones que nos faciliten la vida, yo también invento mucho, aprovecho para hacerte una recomendación, las tomas de electricidad deben tener aislantes para poder ser colocadas o empotradas en madera, recuerda que estás conecciones pueden sufrir corto circuitos y sobre calentamiento con altas probabilidades de ocasionar incendios, creo que solo colocaste en cable y lo empotrastes en la madera, si no tienes aislantes te recomiendo una reubicación.
