En mi caso hace unos doce años aproximadamente tenía una camioneta Toyota Burbuja de 1991, la lleve bien, sin ningún inconveniente algunos cuantos meses hasta que presentaron algunas fallas en distintas zonas de la camioneta pero la más y grande y la “principal” estaba en el motor, los problemas se incrementaron cuando comenzamos la búsqueda de los repuestos en mi país, me entere que no llegaban pues el modelo de camioneta era muy reciente en el país y importada de Estados Unidos con un motor 3F el cual tenía inyección directa y ese modelo nunca llego al país, primero se opto por comprar un juego nuevo de bujías pero estas no sirvieron por lo anteriormente dicho, paso uno meses mientras yo seguía buscando los dichosos repuestos en todas las tiendas de la ciudad y algunas en otros estados pero jamás los encontré en mi país, encontré una tienda online de Estados Unidos que si tenían algunos de los repuestos y los compre, después de un mes llegaron y los mande a instalar, las fallas amortiguaron un poco pero seguían presente, la camioneta se apagaba, en las subidas sonaba muy extraño.

Después de un año decidí venderla, el dueño nuevo cambio en su totalidad el motor y toda la caja, dejando solamente la carrocería, reemplazo el motor con uno de los modelos nuevos que tenían un motor 4500 y las fallas cesaron por completo, cabe destacar que era la única camioneta en toda mi ciudad de ese modelo y con las características de ella, como una ventanilla en el techo, las luces y otras más. Tiempo después adquirí una Grand Cherokee con las que he tenido pocos problemas y los he podido solucionar sin ningún contratiempo.

Hola, tienes razón en cuanto a que hay que saber donde y con quién llevar nuestros autos. Hay personas sin moral y ética que como dices, cambian incluso las piezas y luego lo que pudo ser una solución, es un gran dolor de cabeza.
Tuve un carro de importación y también le cambie la caja por completo y realicé una adaptación al motor.

Parece ser que el tema de las dificultades para los repuestos siempre va a ser una constante independientemente del momento, y es una lástima porque sé por experiencia que es una situación estresante. A mi también me gusta, pero creo que esta sobre valorada! si llegas con un toyota asume que tienes dinero y todo que cobra mas, pero bueno! saludos
Me imagino esa experiencia de mandar a buscar los respuestos de tan lejos para que luego no fueran la solución, en tal caso salir de ese carro por los inconvenientes que mencionas creo que fue lo mejor.
