Being a woman in colonial times was certainly not an easy task, the slavery that reigned in those times was one of the reasons why our nations were stagnant, there was no projection and work was only the man's responsibility, life was very hard and the creative aspects would not come to light because women had no space to expose their views.
This situation had affected young Lucia emotionally, she thought with great impetus to transform the lives of all the women who lived in that great hacienda, where only the work of the kitchen and washing clothes was the only thing they had to do, even knowing that the decisions of men were wrong, they could not express their point of view, This was a traumatic scenario for Lucía that inspired her to write every night and imagine a different world where equality between men and women would be the starting point for a better society, where anarchy would not reign and where self-improvement would be the premise that would keep us alert as individuals.
With only 19 years old, Lucia had many aspirations, until the day she met the love of her life, young Roberto, son of the owners of the hacienda who came from the big city to spend his usual vacation, both no longer children entered into the idyll of love, the few days that Roberto lasted at the hacienda were the best for Lucia, sadly time passes and the routine ends up staying in our existence.
Without explanation, Roberto's vacation was over and he left her without saying goodbye, as if it had all been a pastime. That was how Lucia began to walk in the strange world of that feeling that surrounds us (love) and with the passing of time the transformations of her body were not long in coming, what a surprise that now a young girl of only 19 years old had to carry the weight of the life that was developing in her womb, which undoubtedly would force her to put aside her spirit of freedom and the transformation she expected for this world.

As time went by, the situation for her worsened, she could not say who the father of that child was, as they would undoubtedly end up taking his life, so it was time to make an important decision, to leave that space in order to preserve the life of her son.
Lucia has decided to leave her country, she has emigrated to a totally new and unknown place for her, however, she has been lucky enough to find people who are willing to help her, among them the young Carlos, a hard-working person with the same scope of self-improvement and freedom that young Lucia once wished for.
After some time and the birth of their son Josué, Carlos and Lucía have managed to establish a family with apparent solid foundations, however, life circumstances are sometimes not as calm as they seem.
By that time Carlos had a big accident at his usual work, a very poisonous snake had bitten him in one of his legs and to save his life they had to amputate it, what a sadness and what a great depression had invaded Carlos' life, entering into the world of alcohol, regardless of the damage it generated to his family.
How was it possible that such a wonderful and optimistic man, now has become such a despicable being, day after day his life was declining and Lucia was becoming sadder and sadder because of the difficult situation, how to leave aside the man who without knowing her had reached out to her, and who was now her husband, what to do to help him, without being despised and mistreated by his words, how to assume the fate of this family, if the spirit of my husband does not want to continue fighting, were the questions that went through Lucia's mind.

However, despite the difficult scenario, Lucia was determined to move forward, so every day she and her little boy went out to the countryside to earn a living, little by little she was showing what she was capable of and every day with her example and dedication she was infecting her husband to such an extent that her pride and her limitations became an opportunity that God was giving her to move forward.
So Lucia became an empowered woman, her great intelligence and rightness and her willingness to not falter and to fight against adversities managed to put her on track in a man's world, Lucia managed to raise her son and lead him to become a great doctor, she managed to infect her husband and put him back on track to a congruent lifestyle.
Sheltered in the promise of the Lord, from their humility, both have created a great community that allows them to help abused women as Lucia once was, where only determination, attitude and straightness made it possible for this woman to move forward.

El ser mujer en las épocas de la colonia, sin duda no era tarea fácil, la esclavitud que reinaba en esos tiempos era una de las razones por la cual se encontraban estancada nuestras naciones, no existía proyección alguna y el trabajo solo era responsabilidad del hombre, la vida era muy dura y los aspectos creativos no saldrían a la luz ya que la mujer no tenía espacio alguno para exponer sus puntos de vistas.
Esta situación, tenía afectada en lo emocional a la joven Lucía, ella con mucho ímpetu pensaba en poder transformar la vida de todas las mujeres que convivían en esa gran hacienda, donde solo la labor de la cocina y de lavar la ropa era lo único que debían cumplir, aun sabiendo que las decisiones de los hombres eran erróneas, no podían manifestar su punto de vista, ya que corrían el riesgo de ser maltratadas con las largas cuerdas de los látigos, un escenario traumático para Lucía que le inspiraba a escribir todas las noches e imaginar un mundo diferente donde la igualdad entre hombres y mujeres sería el punto de partida para una mejor sociedad, donde la anarquía no reinase y donde la superación fuera la premisa que nos mantendrá atentos como individuos.
Con solo 19 años, Lucía tenía muchas aspiraciones, hasta el día en que conoció al amor de su vida El joven Roberto, hijo de los dueños de la hacienda que vino de la gran ciudad a pasar sus vacaciones habituales, ambos ya no tan niños entraron en el idilio del amor, los pocos días que duró Roberto en la hacienda fueron los mejores para lucía, tristemente el tiempo pasa y la rutina termina quedando en nuestra existencia.
Sin explicación, las vacaciones de Roberto había terminado y Él sin despedirse se alejó de ella, como si todo hubiese sido un pasatiempo. Así fue como Lucía empezó a caminar en El extraño mundo de ese sentimiento que nos acorrala (amor) y con el devenir del tiempo las transformaciones de su cuerpo no se hicieron esperar, que sorpresa ahora una joven de tan solo 19 años tenía que cargar el peso de la vida que se desarrollaba en su vientre, lo cual sin duda la obligaría a dejar de lado su espíritu de libertad y de la transformación que esperaba para este mundo.

Con el pasar del tiempo la situación para ella se fue empeorando, no podría decir quién era el padre de ese niño, ya que sin duda terminarían quitándole la vida, así que es momento de asumir una decisión importante, salir de ese espacio en busca de preservar la vida de su hijo.
Lucía ha decidido dejar su país, ha emigrado a un lugar totalmente nuevo y desconocido para ella, sin embargo, ha contado con la suerte de conseguir personas que están dispuestas a ayudarlos, entre ellos el joven Carlos, una persona trabajadora con el mismo ámbito de superación y libertad que en un momento deseaba la joven Lucía.
Después de cierto tiempo y del nacimiento del niño Josué, Carlos y Lucía han logrado establecer una familia con aparentes bases sólidas, sin embargo, las circunstancias de la vida a veces no son tan tranquilas como parecen.
Para ese entonces Carlos en su trabajo habitual ha tenido un gran accidente, una serpiente muy venenosa lo ha mordido en una de sus piernas y para poder salvar su vida tuvieron que amputarla, que tristeza y que depresión más grande ha invadido la vida de Carlos, entrando en el mundo del alcohol, sin importar el daño que generaba a su familia.
Como era posible que un hombre tan maravilloso y optimista, ahora se ha convertido en un ser tan despreciable, día tras día su vida fue decayendo y Lucía cada vez más triste por la difícil situación, ¿Cómo dejar de lado al hombre que sin conocerla le había tendido la mano? y que ahora era su esposo, ¿qué hacer para ayudarlo, sin ser despreciada y maltratada por sus palabras?, ¿Cómo asumir el destino de esta familia, si el espíritu de mi esposo no quiere seguir luchando? eran las preguntas que pasaban por la mente de Lucía.

Sin embargo, a pesar del difícil escenario Lucía estaba determinada en salir adelante, así todos los días de manera intencional, ella junto a su pequeño niño salían al campo a ganarse la vida poco a poco fue demostrando de lo que era capaz y a diario con su ejemplo y dedicación fue contagiando a su esposo a tal punto que su soberbia y sus limitaciones se convirtieron en una oportunidad que Dios le estaba dando para seguir adelante.
De manera que Lucía se convirtió en una mujer empoderada, su gran inteligencia y endereza y su disposición a no flaquear y a luchar contra las adversidades logró encaminarla en un mundo de hombres, Lucía logró criar a su hijo y llevarlo a convertirse en un gran médico, logró contagiar a su marido y encaminarlo nuevamente a un estilo de vida congruente.
Refugiados en la promesa del señor, desde su humildad, ambos han creado una gran comunidad que permite ayudar a mujeres maltratadas como en un tiempo lo estuvo Lucía, donde solo la determinación, actitud y endereza lograron que está mujer saliera adelante.

Este es el claro ejemplo de una mujer empoderada, que se mueve con el cambio que no se deja envolver por las adversidades de la vida y por el contrario Lucia siempre mostró una actitud positiva y estuvo presta a dar lo mejor de ella.
