The Roman Bridge of Nyons is one of the region’s main attractions, drawing many visitors. We took the opportunity to chat with other curious travelers who came to admire this charming spot. Built between 1341 and 1409, it spans the Eygues River with a single arch of more than 40 meters. Listed as a historic monument since 1925, this symbol of the town—though medieval—bears a misleading name that evokes the Roman era. A masterpiece of engineering, it now offers a stunning view over Nyons and its Provençal landscape.
Le pont roman de Nyons est l’une des principales attractions de la région, attirant de nombreux visiteurs. Nous en avons profité pour échanger avec d’autres curieux venus admirer ce lieu plein de charme. Construit entre 1341 et 1409, il enjambe l’Eygues d’une seule arche de plus de 40 mètres. Classé monument historique depuis 1925, ce symbole de la ville, bien que médiéval, porte un nom trompeur évoquant l’époque romaine. Chef-d’œuvre d’ingénierie, il offre aujourd’hui une vue magnifique sur Nyons et ses paysages provençaux.
