"The UAE weather was already getting milder by the day and so I thought I can try sprinkling some romaine lettuce seeds on this big pot that we just filled with soil and food waste compost. Honestly, I was skeptical about this because when I first tried germinating some of these seeds, they seemed too soft and they eventually died after sprouting for just a few days"

"Yesterday the freeze dryer didn't finish the cycle until the afternoon but all the trays came out good save for the attempt at ginger which needs a lot more time to be done. These are learning experiences though and I am figuring out quickly what works and doesn't. Of batch 22 I have to say that the ham is the best, the flavor it has is amazing, it's sweet and the pieces fall apart in the mouth. The pumpkin pie filling pieces are better in the smaller size as they are not quite as hard as the larger sized squares from the prior batch"

"Around Christmas time we usually see mass-gatherings of people that seem to enjoy getting bumped into during freezing blizzards and getting their disgusting sugary concotions spilled over their hands and jackets. You might have already figured out my opinion on christmas markets and the hot wine they serve, and I am truely happy to be limited to selfmade beverages right now, thanks to the coronavirus shenanigans"
