Buzz From Around The Hive: First Week Recaps, Tips and Info
by @hiveio

"So much has been going on since the initial kick-off of HIVE; and @hiveio shares some updates and great websites to help you around the new platform."

One of the most amazing things about blockchain time is how fast it seems to move, while even a few month's passing can make you feel like a grizzled veteran. In just one week, we've seen the spirit of the community really shine!

Corona Furlough Week One: The Sun And The Garden
by @nateonsteemit

"@nateonsteemit is one person who is enjoying this partial lock down during the quarantine. See what's been growing in his garden as well as what he's been working on at this time spent at home."

Man, I'm starting to really love this whole partial quarantine thing. The weather here has been amazing, things are growing, I'm meeting my neighbors, we're spending time as a family, I'm spending tons of time in the garden. The only thing that's missing is some introspection, but it'll come. Or it won't

Quarantine Fun- Bonding Time With My Kids
by @nextgen622

"Oh this is wonderful! While some people may be going a little stir crazy during this global lockdown, @nextgen622 is making the best of the time at home with their children. See what fun they've been having."

In Australia we have recently moved to 3rd stage restrictions where gatherings of more than 2 people are banned. Basically it means that we are to stay home for most of the time. Besides shopping for groceries, the only time we're spending away from our home is visiting grandma

Mazunte Build- Concrete Plans And Concrete Actions
by @stortebeker

"Have you ever heard of this type of building? Mazunte? It's quite interesting! Stop over to this post from @stortebeker and see how it is done. It definitely has its benefits."

Once the last tire in the last course has been pounded, leveled, and the space behind it filled with dirt, it was time to focus all our attention on concreting. In order to tie all the weight of the roof together, and have the tire wall support it, a bond-beam is needed. And since two thirds of the circular structure are “flying” that is not held up by the tires, we have to pour seven columns, called castillos in the local jargon

The quest For Flour
by @bengy

"Come along with @bengy in the search for flour! Who would have ever thought such a basic baking staple could be so difficult to find."

For the last couple of weeks, we've not been able to find flour in the regular supermarkets... not entirely sure why that is, perhaps we just keep coming in at the wrong times and are just unlucky... or perhaps there is a bit of a sticking point in the supply chain for flour! Anyway, there are temporary shortages of other things... but for the most part, they have been restocked within the week. After all (for the moment at least...), we are generally in a demand spike and not a supply shortfall
