Makeup inspired by Ponyo- Studio Ghibli

HELLO HIVE!

Como aficionada de las animaciones del Studio Ghibli, en esta oportunidad les compartiré un maquillaje inspirado en PONYO, un película llena de magia y amor; además sugerida para hacer esta representación por mi pequeña, Alma, que le encanta admirar esta linda historia.

As a fan of Studio Ghibli's animations, in this opportunity I will share with you a makeup inspired by PONYO, a movie full of magic and love; also suggested for this performance by my little girl, Alma, who loves to admire this beautiful story.

Ponyo es una princesita pez, que se encuentra con un niño humano, Sosuke, que la cuida y con quien siente una linda conexión afectiva, que la hace desear ser humana también.

Ponyo is a little fish princess, who meets a human child, Sosuke, who takes care of her and with whom she feels a beautiful emotional connection, which makes her want to be human too.

Proceso | Process

Para iniciar el maquillaje apliqué base de maquillaje compacta, luego realicé un boceto del diseño con lápiz para ojos. Mi diseño es una representación de Ponyo y Sosuke, en el encuentro de sus dos hábitats, y a la vez de su unión afectiva.

To start the makeup I applied compact foundation, then made a sketch of the design with eye pencil. My design is a representation of Ponyo and Sosuke, in the encounter of their two habitats, and at the same time of their emotional union.

Luego inició la magia del color, rellenando las figuras con las sombras respectivas para cada personaje.

Then he started the magic of color, filling the figures with the respective shadows for each character.

El color azul como fondo representa el mar, hogar de Ponyo. En el lado izquierdo pinté bajo 3 tonalidades (azul, turquesa y verde difuminado con azul), además hice ondas con lápiz negro para ojos. La fusión entre lineas y colores oscuros y claros, fueron utilizados para representar el oleaje de mar. También se complementó el diseño pintando algunas especies marinas. Para el área de Sosuke, hice un paisaje más sencillo porque es un niño asomado, con algunas hierbas alrededor y su barco de juguete.

The blue color as background represents the sea, home of Ponyo. On the left side I painted under 3 shades (blue, turquoise and green blurred with blue), I also made waves with black eye pencil. The fusion between lines and dark and light colors, were used to represent the sea waves. The design was also complemented by painting some marine species. For the area of Sosuke, I made a simpler landscape because it is a child leaning out, with some herbs around and his toy boat.
