Steampunk is an artistic movement whose main feature is that it has a combination of retro and futuristic trends that although it may seem contradictory gives this genre a special and appealing look. Today I was inspired by this genre to recreate a makeup based on a metallic mask where you can appreciate some mechanical and electrical figures that are complemented by the aged metallic color of the base of the mask. I share with you the details of this creation. El steampunk es un movimiento artístico cuya característica principal es que tiene una combinación de tendencias retro y futurista que aunque parezca contradictorio le imprime a este género un especial y atrayente aspecto. Hoy me inspiré en este género para recrear un maquillaje fundamentado en una máscara metálica dónde se aprecian algunas figuras mecánicas y eléctricas que se complementan con el color metálico envejecido de la base de la máscara. Les comparto el detalle de esta creación.

Step 1	Paso 1
With a black eyeliner pencil I made the outline of the mask. I applied black body paint that I blended and matched with a makeup sponge. Then with the same pencil I made the sketch of the mechanical figures and other details of the makeup.	Con un lápiz delineador de color negro realicé el contorno de la máscara. Apliqué pintura corporal negra que fui difuminando y emparejando con una esponja de maquillaje. Luego con el mismo lápiz realicé el boceto de las figuras mecánicas y otros detalles del maquillaje.

Step 2	Paso 2
I applied eye shadow in different metallic tones, including gold and bronze. With black body paint I retouched the shape lines to give depth and applied brown shadow on the edge of the mask to give a two-dimensional effect.	Apliqué sombra para ojos en distintos tonos metálicos, entre ellos dorado y bronce. Con pintura corporal negra retoqué las líneas de formas para dar profundidad y apliqué sombra color marrón en el borde de la máscara para dar efecto bidimensional.

Step 3	Paso 3
With gold body paint I worked all the details of the mechanical and electrical elements and then with white body paint the edges and reliefs of the figures. Step 4	Paso 4
With glue stick apply pieces such as bolts, nuts and washers as ornament of the makeup.	Con pegamento en barra aplique piezas como pernos, tuercas y arandelas como ornamento del maquillaje.
