My sister @swaycanete is a makeup artist. I begged her to do my makeup for Halloween 2018. I really wanted to be a sunflower. I told her the "inspo" for this look-- and I was so glad of how it turned out! The makeup was even far more than what I have expected. (By the way, my sister Sway is very new to Hive, and she has yet to post her Intro this week. I hope you would welcome her warmly in our community. Yay!)
Sway did my makeup and she also took these photographs. Yes I know, she is talented. I cannot wait for you to meet her here on Hive.

It was 2018 when my favorite poet, Ms. Rupi Kaur, launched her "the sun and her flowers" book. I saved up to buy it because I was so, so excited to read her new poetry collection. I got so hyped that the same year, I wanted to dress up as a sunflower lol. (My favorite flower is, yeah you guessed it right, the sunflower!)
