Abandoned church on the bank of Kama

The village of Shuran, Tatarstan, a cliff on the banks of the Kama - and an old abandoned church rises on it. This is the oldest church in which I happened to visit - built in 1735. Before her, there was a wooden temple, but the local landowner donated money and built a large stone church. In the Soviet years, the temple was transferred to the needs of the village. Most likely, it was a granary. In the mid-2000s, local volunteers began restoration. The title photo shows that the altar part of the church is already with a new roof. Inside, unfortunately, no old frescoes have been preserved...
