Swimming forbidden! - Abandoned building on the shore of a dam

IMG_20220131_141305.jpg

Honestly, I'm not sure what type of building this is. But since it is located on the shores of a dam, I guess it is connected in some way with it and its management and administration.

Well, it was.

IMG_20220131_141203.jpg

But not any more.

IMG_20220131_141113.jpg

Yes, it should be connected to the dam, since this inscription below the graffiti reads: Swimming forbidden! or Going inside the water is forbidden!

IMG_20220131_141042.jpg

Yet no one today observes this prohibition, because there is no one in this building.

IMG_20220131_140856.jpg

And in fact, I'm not sure if anyone would really want to enter the waters of this dam, an artificial reservoir, the fourth largest in the country, under which there is a whole village buried.

IMG_20220131_140839.jpg

Because personally I would not want to do it.

IMG_20220131_140958.jpg

Thus, since it is connected to the dam, then this building should date approximately from the time of its creation, ie. between 1964 and 1969.

IMG_20220131_140918.jpg

I didn't want to go into this part here because it was a hot summer day and I was very likely to come across a snake in this wilderness.

IMG_20220131_140718.jpg

But what actually makes an abandoned building unattractive or impossible to enter?

One case is when you can't find the entrance, as I showed you in my previous post. I had no intention of entering there at all because of the ominous appearance of the building at all.

IMG_20220131_140416.jpg

But the other case is when someone has obviously appropriated this abandoned, and apparently state building, and used it for his own personal purposes.

IMG_20220131_140553.jpg

As well as stuffing it in such a way with his own stuff inside that it is probably not possible to enter this building any more :)

So, that's the case here and that's the reason I'm not able to show you now pictures from the inside.

But I guess, they wouldn't be very interesting anyway.

Enigma!

I hope you !LUV !PIZZA :)

🖤The mystery is not so much in this particular building, but in the one near it, which I intend to show soon.
Thank you!
Cheers

I'm looking forward for it :)
Thanks for the token :)

I thank you for your constant support!

My pleasure!

That picture of the corner of the building with all the brush around it is quite beautiful. It is such a dramatically ugly subject, that it somehow turns into the opposite. Is that a reflection, or more plants growing on the inside? If the latter, I suppose the inside doesn't look dramatically different than out.

Ha ha, your description is right - 'dramatically ugly object'. I wouldn't say it has been turned into the opposite.
If you are asking if there are plants growing inside, because I wrote that there is a wilderness there, and I was afraid of snakes, it's because the one building has broken walls and the access to it is free, so I thought there might be snakes inside, not plants growing inside. But the latter may be possible too 🙂, as I did not have the courage to check it out.

I was referring to how in that corner of the building picture it looked like there were plants visible through the window. It may have been a reflection, I'm not sure, but it made for a pretty picture. I'm sure the snakes were relieved you chose not to venture inside, it does look like a nice and secluded home for them:)

This is hay stored inside. You know, hay for animal feed in the winter. Not plants. But it looks just as ridiculous as if plants were really growing inside :)

Creepy about the buried village. Was it, uh, an accident?

No, it was a human decision. But in my opinion, still creepy. There is an old abandoned cemetery at a height near the dam, also separate, scattered old graves along the coast. There is also a very old church, which periodically stands in or out of the water, depending on the season and weather conditions.

That's kind of awesome!
